We are two trees,
you and me,
growing in a forest.
Our roots they meet,
beneath human feet,
forever intertwined.
Your leaves in Fall,
are prettiest of all,
the other trees around us.
Im seduced by the charm,
of snow covering your arms,
in a glistening white blanket.
Slowly as green begins to show,
I watch in awe as your flowers grow,
in pinks, whites, and purples.
Another year is done,
and bathed in warm summer sun,
we celebrate our birthday.
In this forest for a hundred years,
I have gazed at you my dear,
and forever I will love you.
