Cowprint counterfits

I passed a girl the other day,
A girl in a cow print coat.
In her eyes was a familar glow,
I reckognized them, but she hurried by.
I tried to follow her as she turned the corner.
but I lost her in a crowd,
a crowd of cowprint coats.
As far as the eye could roam
it was a cowprint sea.
I cried out her name, they all turned.
All thier faces held the eyes,
the eyes of the girl with the cow print coat.
And Oh! Their smiles, their noses, thier stance,
they had copied the girl.
There were now a million cow print coat conterfits.
However, I am clever, and could not be tricked.
As much as they had mastered,
as perfectly as they had pretended,
I was able to pick out the real girl.
The real girl with the cowprint coat.
I saw her run, and I chased after.
Sadly, she was too quick for me.
But in her haste, she shed her cowprint coat.
Now all I have of my vision,
is an empty coat, to match my empty heart.
